Sollevamento Miofasciale
Myofascial Face Lifting Massage
Where fascia has been holding the lift hostage.

What it is
Face sculpting by myofascial release — explained the way Zhanna explains it.
Myofascial release on the face is the slow, weight-bearing pressure technique that targets fascia — the connective-tissue webbing that wraps muscle and shortens under chronic stress, repetitive expression, and the holding pattern most people don't realize they've been carrying for years. The visible result of shortened facial fascia: cheek volume that reads as flat, temples that read as hollow, and a brow that sits a few millimeters lower than it should. The release itself lasts about four days — closer to a manual surgery for the fascia than to a massage.
The sixty-minute Myofascial Lift is performed entirely externally — gloved hands working slow sustained pressure along cheek, temporalis, frontalis, masseter, the neck and decolletage, and the cervical attachments at the back of the scalp. It is the external sibling to the Buccal Lift: Buccal accesses the pterygoid and deep masseter from inside the mouth, Myofascial addresses the rest of the muscular substrate from outside. The release work uses Active Isolated Stretching, Active Release Therapy, Muscle Activation Methods and Trigger Point Therapy to free the myofascial adhesions that form from stress and trauma and restore facial muscle motion. Most clients who already love Buccal end up rotating Myofascial in as the alternating-month service. Variants extend the session up to one hundred and thirty minutes with masque, glycolic resurfacing, micro-current, LED therapy, Radio-Frequency Lifting, a layered Buccal Lift ($480 / 90 min — the same protocol that anchors The Zhanna Method), or stacked combinations of the device modalities.
Who it's for
The Myofascial Lift fits if any of these describe you.
- 01Chronic stress-holders — the brow-furrowers, the jaw-clenchers, the shoulder-pullers
- 02Clients who book Buccal regularly and want a complementary external session in between
- 03Tension-headache sufferers who carry pain in the temporalis or occiput
- 04TMJ and muscle-tension relief, sinus congestion and puffiness, and post-operative recovery after cosmetic surgery
- 05Clients who want the result of fillers without fillers
- 06Bell's palsy, post-stroke recovery, and facial paralysis — a non-invasive support, referred by physicians, neurologists, and physical therapists
- 07Pre-event clients in the seventy-two-hour window when the fascia is freshly released
- 08Anyone whose face has visibly compressed in the last few years and isn't sure why
What to expect
The session, in order.
The sequence below is the typical order of operations. Timings, pressure, and modifications change with the skin — Zhanna adjusts in the room.
- 01
Consultation · tension reading
Brief review of where you've been holding tension and any recent injury, surgery, or jaw issues. Zhanna palpates the masseter, temporalis, and cervical lines before beginning.
- 02
Cervical opening
Six to eight minutes of cervical and occipital release. The back of the scalp anchors most facial fascia; opening it first makes the cheek and temple work effective.
- 03
Masseter + jaw line
Slow sustained pressure along the masseter. The first thirty seconds feel like deep work; the muscle releases within ninety seconds and the jaw line softens immediately.
- 04
Temporalis + frontalis
Twelve to fifteen minutes through the temple and forehead. This is the most parasympathetic stretch of the session — most clients fall asleep here.
- 05
Cheek + zygomatic release
Closing fascial work across the cheek, zygomatic arch, neck, and decolletage. The lifting strokes that pair with the release work — the order matters.
- 06
Closing ritual
Warm cloth, then chilled face mist with serum infusion, moisturizer, and SPF. Hand-mirror moment.

Recommended cadence
Every 4 weeks, paired with monthly Buccal
The clients who get the best results from Myofascial rotate it monthly with Buccal — a four-week alternation that keeps both internal and external fascial planes worked. As a standalone, four-to-six-week cadence holds the structural softening visible.

Aftercare
What to do — and avoid — after.
Every Vera Pelle treatment
- Aftercare · Change your pillowcase for the first 24 hours after treatment.
- Pregnancy safety · For pregnant clients, manual technique and massage only — no devices, ever. (LED, micro-current, RF, EMS, electroporation, and the hydradermabrasion machine are excluded.)
Mild soreness along the masseter or temporalis for six to twelve hours is normal — the muscle is responding to having been worked. Drink electrolyte water.
Skip the gym. Sleep on your back if you can; the structural softening settles in best without pressure-displacing the released fascia.
Photograph yourself on day three. The visible result peaks around the seventy-two-hour mark and holds for seven to ten days as a standalone.
Active TMJ disorder under acute treatment (we modify or skip the masseter work).
Recent (within ten days) facial surgery or dental procedure.
Active dermatitis or open lesions in the treatment area.
Severe rosacea flare — the sustained pressure can aggravate.
Frequently Asked
The questions clients actually ask.
Buccal works the substrate from inside the mouth (pterygoid, deep masseter, buccinator). Myofascial works the rest of the muscular and fascial network from outside (temporalis, frontalis, surface masseter, cheek, scalp attachments). They are complementary — the rare client books both in the same week and reports the most visible cumulative softening.
Pressure, not pain. The first thirty seconds in each muscle group feel intense; sustained pressure releases tension within ninety seconds. Anything sharp or sustained gets adjusted immediately.
Yes — the Square variant adds the Buccal Lift for $480 total at ninety minutes. This is also the protocol that anchors The Zhanna Method (with European lymphatic drainage layered in as the third discipline across the same ninety minutes).
RF is a device layer Vera Pelle offers on Myofascial as a $480 / 90-minute variant, $585 with Micro-current added, or $640 with Micro-current and LED. RF goes after the manual work so the heat lands on already-released fascia. It's the right layer if collagen rebuild is the goal alongside the fascial release; not the right layer if you have a pacemaker, metallic facial implants, active autoimmune skin disease, or are pregnant.
Cheek volume reads fuller within ten minutes of the closing cryo spoons. Jaw line softening shows within four hours. Temple decompression — the result clients tend to comment on most — peaks around twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
Face yoga contracts; myofascial release lengthens. Most face-yoga regimens shorten the same fascia that's already shortened. The two are not redundant but they are aimed in opposite directions.
Tension-headache sufferers who carry tension in the temporalis or occiput are among the clients who book this session. The protocol opens with six to eight minutes of cervical and occipital release, then spends twelve to fifteen minutes on the temporalis and forehead with slow, sustained pressure.
