Manual lymphatic drainage is a slow, light-pressure technique that follows specific anatomical pathways to activate the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system has no central pump — when it stalls, fluid accumulates in soft tissue. On the face, that shows up as puffiness under the eyes, slack along the jawline, and a chronic tired appearance that sleep doesn't fix.
Houston is a lymphatic problem in itself. High outdoor humidity, aggressive indoor air conditioning, seasonal pollen and mold, and the city's mineral water all create a continuous load on a system that depends on movement to function. The Vera Pelle session is sixty minutes: European face lifting strokes that sculpt the contours, lift the double chin and smooth the nasolabial fold, then lymphatic pathway work — cervical nodes first to create a vacuum effect, then jaw, temples, periorbital, scalp and head, ears, and decolletage. The drainage pressure is light by design. Aggressive pressure collapses the vessels you're trying to activate.

The sequence below is the typical order of operations. Timings, pressure, and modifications change with the skin — Zhanna adjusts in the room.

Consultation · lymph mapping
Brief review of any medical contraindications, recent surgeries, or hormonal context. Zhanna maps where you're currently holding fluid.

Warm compress · dry brush
Warm compress to the neck and decolletage. Dry brushing along the cervical pathway. Activates the system before the manual work begins.
- 03
Cervical node activation
Light feather strokes at the cervical nodes — the entry point. The vacuum effect created here is what makes the subsequent strokes effective.
- 04
Jaw + temple drainage
Pathway-specific strokes from jaw to ear, temple to ear. The under-eye is one of the last areas worked, because draining it requires the rest of the pathway to be open first.

European face lifting
Moderate-pressure lifting strokes across the cheek, jawline, nasolabial fold and under the chin, done after the pathways are open.

Cryo spoon application
Cryo sculpting spoons across the periorbital and zygomatic regions. Vasoconstriction supports the result.

- Aftercare · Change your pillowcase for the first 24 hours after treatment.
- Pregnancy safety · For pregnant clients, manual technique and massage only — no devices, ever. (LED, micro-current, RF, EMS, electroporation, and the hydradermabrasion machine are excluded.)
Drink electrolyte water — the system is freshly mobilized and needs minerals to keep moving. Skip alcohol; it reabsorbs the fluid you just moved. Sleep with one extra pillow.
The peak decongestion shows at the four-to-six-hour mark, with a secondary visible plateau at twenty-four hours. Take photos in standardized lighting at both points.
Active cancer treatment (oncologist clearance required).
Recent DVT history (within six months).
Active infection in the head, neck, or sinus area.
Recent (within two weeks) surgical procedures without surgeon clearance.
