What to expect at your first Vera Pelle facial
The arrival, the consultation, the technique, the closing ritual — minute by minute. So you know what you're walking into.
By Zhanna Graeff · February 1, 2026

You'll arrive at 2200 Edwards Street and walk straight back to suite 305. The studio is one treatment room, one consultation chair. There is no front desk. Zhanna will meet you herself.
You'll have completed the skin consultation form before your arrival — Zhanna will have reviewed it. The first ten to fifteen minutes are conversation: what you wrote, what's changed since you wrote it, what specifically you want today's session to address. If anything in your medical history flagged a contraindication (active dermatitis, recent dental surgery, certain medications), this is when she'll modify the protocol. The treatment itself then runs a full sixty minutes.
The sequence depends on which session you booked. Every session opens with a double cleanse — oil-based first, water-based second — and a warm botanical towel compress. In the European Facial, manual extractions follow if comedones are present, then a masque, with lymphatic drainage on the neck and décolleté while it sets. If your skin needs extensive extraction, that calls for the Deep Clean — a thirty-minute ultrasonic dermascrubber add-on. Then the signature work: buccal, myofascial, or lymphatic, depending on the session. Custom serum infusion. Closing massage on the scalp, neck, and shoulders.

You will be horizontal the whole time, on a handcrafted electric treatment table — the same caliber found in the world's most prestigious resorts and medical spas, with an integrated warming pad built into the surface. Silky white sheets — the feeling of a luxury hotel, not a clinic. You will be under a warm blanket if the room is cool. Zhanna explains everything before the treatment and again after — the European tradition treats clients as informed participants, not passive recipients. During the session itself, no talking: your facial muscles need complete rest.
Most first-time clients fall asleep around minute forty. This is normal. Buccal in particular induces a deep parasympathetic response that nobody expects until they've felt it. You'll be woken up gently. You'll be handed a mirror when the work is done. You'll see a face that looks structurally different — not different in the sense of "lifted and tightened," but in the sense of "the version of itself it usually only is on a good week."
The closing ritual is the same every visit: warm cloth, then a chilled face mist with serum infusion, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
Aftercare is minimal. Drink water. Skip the gym for twenty-four hours. Don't book a chemical peel or laser treatment for two weeks. The visible change peaks around the seventy-two-hour mark — buccal keeps working in the days after the session.
Most clients book their second appointment before they leave.
