Most face-lifting work stops at the muscle. The Myofascial Face Lifting Massage works the layer underneath it — the fascia, the sheet of connective tissue that wraps every muscle, bone, and organ in the body, including the face. When fascia tightens and binds, it pulls the face out of position the way a too-tight seam pulls a garment. Release it and the architecture settles back where it belongs.

This is the treatment most clients move to once they've had the European Face Lifting Massage or Buccal Massage and want to go a layer deeper. It isn't a separate beauty ritual bolted on — it's the next stage of the same structural work, and it's one of the few places in Houston you'll find it done by hand.
Where the Technique Comes From
Zhanna Graeff holds a certificate in Myofascial Facial Massage from the First Professional Institute of Aesthetics in Moscow, Russia. She built this service out of that training combined with the European face-lifting work she already performs every day at the Sawyer Yards studio. The myofascial release method isn't borrowed from a weekend course — it's a formal discipline, and it's the foundation of what happens on the table.
The Sequence
The treatment opens with a double cleanse and exfoliation to clear the surface before any manual work begins.
From there, the work is hands-on and methodical. Targeted pressure moves across the décolleté, shoulders, neck, chin, jaw, jowls, ears, and scalp, with particular attention to the trigger points in the jaw muscles — the places people hold tension without realizing it. The pressure is deliberate, not rushed. The point is to find where the fascia is bound and work it loose.
The method draws on four manual disciplines, applied where each one fits:
- Active Isolated Stretching
- Active Release Therapy
- Muscle Activation techniques
- Trigger Point Therapy
Together they address the myofascial adhesions and restrictions that hold the face tight — the bindings that no topical product can reach.

The Benefits
The work does several things at once:
- Releases fascial adhesions and restrictions across the face and neck
- Improves blood circulation through the worked tissue
- Moves lymph and reduces facial puffiness
- Eases muscle tension in the jaw and surrounding trigger points
- Produces a fuller, firmer look — the natural mimic of facial fillers, without the needle
That last point is the one clients notice in the mirror: the face looks lifted and plumped because the underlying tissue has been released and the fluid has moved, not because anything was injected.
Enhancements
The Myofascial Face Lifting Massage layers well with the other manual and device work in the room. The Buccal Massage can be added as an enhancement to take the release intraoral. A custom masque matched to your skin type seals in hydration after the manual work is done. And for clients who want to push the result further, a Glycolic Resurfacing Treatment, Microcurrent, or LED therapy stacks cleanly on top.
What to Expect
This is structural work, and structural work compounds. A course of six to eight weekly sessions is what it takes to see real change in how the face holds itself; after that, monthly maintenance keeps the result in place. One appointment will feel good and show something — but the lift you're after comes from the series.
If you've never been in for manual work like this before, here's what to expect on a first visit to the Houston studio.
